Strange Practice has supplied a wide range of work for heritage outdoor and workwear apparel manufacturer Filson, helping elevate the brand from an ‘attic find’ to recognizable worldwide in both traditional workwear and fashion circles.
The challenge is keeping the brand’s soul intact, matching originals as closely as possible when remastering existing artwork — and treading carefully when creating from scratch.

Heritage In High Definition
All Filson graphic work must be allowed to patina naturally in the environment It’s used in, rather than applying faux-texture to simulate age. All new marks are directly inspired by the brand archive, so they always feel at home with images that are, in many cases, over 100 years old.
